Össur Poland

Össur is onderdeel van Embla Medical, een global company die high tech protheses ontwerpt en produceert, zoals bijvoorbeeld been- en voetprotheses, bionische handen, braces en andere hulpmiddelen voor het menselijk lichaam. Dreessen Willemse Architecten werkt als global corporate architect voor Össur wereldwijd aan vestigingen voor het bedrijf. In de stad Szczecin (Polen) is het administratief centrum van het bedrijf gehuisvest.
Het kantoor is ontworpen met in de kern een groot werkcafé, waar werknemers en bezoekers gastvrij worden ontvangen. Er wordt geluncht en gekookt aan het kookeiland en er is informeel overleg en spontane ontmoeting in de lounges en treincoupé‘s. Het donkere plafond en eikenhout, gecombineerd met café- en lounge meubilair en planten, geven het werkcafé een warme uitstraling. De ruimte is zodanig ontworpen dat deze eenvoudig kan worden omgebouwd om er grote presentaties en bijeenkomsten te organiseren.
Rondom het werkcafé liggen de kantoorruimtes, die helder en licht zijn en contrasteren met het donkere, warme werkcafé. De werkomgeving met ca. 150 werkplekken voor is gesegmenteerd in kleinere ‘kamers‘ waarin de verschillende teams van het bedrijf samenwerken. Op de scheidingen bevinden zich vergaderruimtes, die gevarieerd zijn ingericht voor activity based werken: als living room, green rooms, conference rooms, een ideation room met ping pong tafel en een seminar room - direct aan het werkcafé. Daarnaast zijn er focuswerkplekken voor geconcentreerd werk en digitaal overleg. Een deel hiervan bestaat uit phone- en train booths, die flexibel kunnen worden verplaatst.

Össur is part of Embla Medical, a global company that designs and produces high-tech prosthetics, such as leg and foot prostheses, bionic hands, braces and other aids for the human body. Dreessen Willemse Architecten works as global corporate architect for Össur on office designs for the company worldwide. The company's administrative center is located in the city of Szczecin (Poland).
The office is designed with a large work-café at its core, where employees and visitors are hospitably welcomed. Lunch and cooking are served at the kitchen island. There are informal consultations and spontaneous meetings in the lounges and train seats. The dark ceiling and oak wood, combined with café and lounge furniture and plants, give the work-café a warm appearance. The space is designed in such a way that it can easily be converted to host large presentations and meetings.
The office spaces are located around the work-café, which are bright and light and contrast with the dark, warm work-café. The working environment with approximately 150 workplaces is segmented into smaller 'rooms' in which the different teams of the company work together. There are meeting rooms on the partitions, which are variedly designed for activity-based working: as a living room, green rooms, conference rooms, an ideation room with ping pong table and a seminar room - directly next to the work-café. There are also focus workstations for concentrated work and video calls. Some of these consist of telephone and train booths, which can be moved flexibly.
